Training Components

Footwork/Balance

Proper footwork is the ability to maximize output within your "first step". Balance is essential to diminish the risk of injury and maintain body control during high stress activities.

Speed, Agility and Quickness

Speed is the ability to cover ground from point A to point B as fast as possible; linear or lateral. Agility is being able to accelerate, decelerate and change direction while maintaining body control. Quickness can be characterized as effectively combining both speed & agility... moving athletically better than your opponent.

Plyometrics

The ability to develop and train muscles for maximum strength and explosive power in one, swift movement.

Core Training

Essential component for athlete's and daily life functions. All force is generally generated through the "trunk" for stabilization and power between lower and upper body.

Metabolic Conditioning

Specialized conditioning for cardiovascular system, anaerobic and/or aerobic. May combine or include power vs. endurance, short vs. long duration sport training.

Flexibility

A vital component to assist in reduction of injuries, blood flow to affected areas of movement. Warm up and cool down.

Sport Specific Circuit Training

Specific movement or motion exercises developed for the demands of a specific sport. Some sports may be cross-referenced due to the functional nature of similar movements between sports.
